The Chamber of Commerce of the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Dominican Republic participated in the first edition of ProCibao 2024, an event that seeks to promote the internationalization of Dominican products, generate investments and promote production in the northern region of the country, especially in Santiago.
During the presentation, Yasmara Mejía, executive director of the Chamber, welcomed and highlighted the business opportunities between the Dominican Republic and the Turks and Caicos Islands, and introduced the president and vice-president of the Chamber.
The president of the entity, Cesar Jose de los Santos, highlighted the importance of these nearby markets and the opportunities they offer.
Caesar Campbell, vice-president of the Chamber, spoke about the exchange potential between both markets and invited exporters to do business with the islands.
The Chamber’s directors thanked the organizers of ProCibao, in particular Fernando Puig, executive vice-president of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce and Production, for their collaboration.
The event was held at the UTESA Dominican Culture Convention Center in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and was attended by various business sectors of the region. At the end of the presentation, the guests enjoyed a toast by Fruit Paradise and Commodia, producers of natural juices and fruit pulp, members of the Chamber.
